- 3 cups (720ml) milk (dairy or non-dairy)
- 2 large eggs
- ½ cup (120ml) maple syrup or honey
- 2 medium apples, peeled, cored, and diced
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- ½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt (optional)
- 2 tablespoons (28g) unsalted melted butter or substitute
- ¼ cup (30g) chopped nuts or seeds (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- In a large bowl, combine rolled oats, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt (if using).
- In a separate bowl, whisk together milk, eggs, maple syrup (or honey), and vanilla extract. Add melted butter and stir well.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Mix until just combined.
- Stir in the diced apples.
- Pour mixture into the prepared baking dish. Sprinkle nuts or seeds on top (optional).
- Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until set and golden brown.
- Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
