  • 1 teaspoon (5g) ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon (1g) salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C). Grease a baking dish.
  2. In a bowl, toss apple slices with 1/4 cup (50g) brown sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla extract. Spread evenly in the baking dish.
  3. In another bowl, combine flour, oats, remaining brown sugar, and salt. Add cold butter cubes and use fingers to rub into the mixture until it resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Sprinkle the crumble mixture evenly over the apples.
  5. Bake for 35-40 minutes until the topping is golden brown and apples are tender.
  6. Let cool slightly before serving. Optionally serve with vanilla ice cream or custard.
