  • 1 (20 ounce) can crushed pineapple, undrained
  • 3 large ripe bananas, sliced
  • 1 (8 ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans
  • Maraschino cherries, for garnish
  • Chocolate syrup, for garnish
  • Strawberry syrup, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. Pour the crushed pineapple (with juice) into the prepared baking dish. Spread evenly.
  3. Arrange the sliced bananas over the pineapple in a single layer.
  4. Sprinkle the dry yellow cake mix evenly over the bananas.
  5. Drizzle the melted butter evenly over the cake mix.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Remove from oven and let cool slightly.
  8. Spread the thawed whipped topping evenly over the warm cake.
  9. Sprinkle with chopped walnuts or pecans.
