Enjoy warm, fluffy biscuits that melt in your mouth in under 30 minutes! This Breakfast Butter Swim Biscuits recipe is incredibly easy and delivers golden, buttery goodness.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups (250g) all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup (50g) sugar
  • 1 3/4 cups (420ml) buttermilk
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick, 113g) unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter, for brushing

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 450°F (232°C). Grease a 9-inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and sugar.
  3. Add the buttermilk and melted butter to the dry ingredients. Stir until just combined. Do not overmix.
  4. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan. It will be thin and that’s okay.
  5. Brush the top of the batter with the remaining 2 tablespoons of melted butter.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
  7. Let cool slightly before cutting into squares and serving.
