  • ¾ cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup cooked ground beef sausage, crumbled

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 450°F (232°C).
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Cut in the cold butter using a pastry blender or your fingers until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Add the buttermilk, cheddar cheese, and cooked ground beef sausage. Stir until just combined. Do not overmix.
  5. Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and gently pat it into a 1-inch thick circle.
  6. Use a biscuit cutter or knife to cut out biscuits.
