  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine warm milk, yeast, and sugar. Let sit for 5-10 minutes until foamy.
  2. Stir in melted butter, salt, and egg to the yeast mixture.
  3. Gradually add flour, one cup at a time, mixing until a soft dough forms. Knead for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Place dough in a greased bowl, cover with plastic wrap, and let rise in a warm place for 1-1.5 hours, or until doubled in size.
  5. While the dough is rising, prepare the filling: combine softened butter, minced garlic, parsley, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  6. Punch down the risen dough and divide it into 12 equal pieces.
  7. Flatten each piece of dough into a small circle. Place a spoonful of the cheese mixture in the center. Pinch edges to seal.
  8. Place dough balls, seam-side down, on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Cover and let rise for another 30 minutes.
  9. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
