Easy Churro Saltine Toffee – a sweet, salty, crunchy treat ready in minutes!


Ingredients

  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 40 saltine crackers
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Arrange saltine crackers in a single layer.
  2. In a saucepan, melt butter. Add sugar and salt. Bring to a boil, stirring until sugar dissolves. Cook until golden brown, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
  3. Pour toffee over crackers, spreading evenly.
  4. Bake for 5-7 minutes, or until toffee is bubbly.
  5. Combine sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle over hot toffee.
  6. Let cool completely, about 1-2 hours. Break into pieces and serve.
