Blondies Base
- 1 cup (225g) unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
- 1 cup (220g) light brown sugar, packed
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 cups (250g) all-purpose flour (or gluten-free flour blend)
- ½ teaspoon baking powder
- ¼ teaspoon salt
Cinnamon Swirl
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter, melted
- 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
- ½ cup (100g) light brown sugar
Instructions
- Preheat & Prep: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish or line with parchment paper.
- Mix the Base: In a bowl, mix melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth. Beat in eggs one at a time, then add vanilla.
- Combine Dry Ingredients: Stir in flour, baking powder, and salt until fully incorporated.
- Make the Cinnamon Swirl: Mix melted butter, cinnamon, and brown sugar in a small bowl.
- Layer & Swirl: Spread half of the batter into the pan, drop half of the cinnamon swirl, and gently swirl with a knife. Repeat with the remaining batter and cinnamon swirl.
- Bake: Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Cool & Serve: Let cool for 10 minutes before slicing. Enjoy warm or let cool completely for a firmer texture!
