- 1 1/2 cups (135g) Rolled Oats
- 1/2 cup (60g) All-Purpose Flour
- 1/4 cup (50g) Brown Sugar (base)
- 1/4 cup (50g) Brown Sugar (filling)
- 1/4 cup (57g) Melted Butter (base)
- 1/4 cup (57g) Softened Butter (filling)
- 1/4 tsp (1.5g) Salt
- 1 tbsp (8g) Ground Cinnamon
- 1/2 cup (60g) Powdered Sugar
- 1–2 tbsp (15-30ml) Milk
- 1/4 tsp (1.25ml) Vanilla Extract
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8 inch pan with parchment paper.
- Combine oats, flour, 1/4 cup brown sugar, melted butter, and salt in a bowl. Mix well.
- Press mixture firmly into the bottom of the prepared pan.
- In a separate bowl, cream together softened butter, 1/4 cup brown sugar, and cinnamon.
- Spread cinnamon filling evenly over the oat base. Swirl with a knife if desired.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until edges are golden brown and the center is set.
- While cooling, whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract for the glaze. Add milk until you reach your desired consistency.
- Drizzle glaze over the cooled bars.
- Let the glaze set completely before cutting into 9 squares and serving.
Notes
- Don’t overbake!
- Press the oat base firmly to prevent crumbling.
- Cool completely before cutting.
- Adjust glaze sweetness to your preference.
