For the Cake:
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups buttermilk
For the Cinnamon Swirl:
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
For the Glaze:
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 10-inch Bundt pan.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with the buttermilk, beginning and ending with the dry ingredients. Mix until just combined.
- In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon for the swirl.
- Pour half of the cake batter into the prepared Bundt pan. Sprinkle the cinnamon swirl mixture evenly over the batter.
- Pour the remaining cake batter over the cinnamon swirl layer.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a wooden skewer inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes before inverting it onto a wire rack to cool completely.
- For the glaze, in a medium bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth. Add more milk if needed to reach desired consistency.
- Drizzle the glaze over the cooled cake.
- Slice and serve.

- Make Ahead: Cake can be made 1 day in advance. Store wrapped at room temperature.
- Buttermilk Substitute: Add 1 1/2 tablespoons lemon juice or vinegar to 1 1/2 cups milk; let stand 5 minutes.
