- 1 (21 ounce) can apple pie filling
- 1 (15 ounce) box yellow cake mix
- 3/4 cup melted butter
- 1/2 cup caramel topping
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)
Instructions
- Pour the apple pie filling into the bottom of a greased 6-quart slow cooker.
- Sprinkle the dry yellow cake mix evenly over the apple pie filling. Do not stir.
- Pour the melted butter evenly over the cake mix.
- Drizzle the caramel topping over the butter.
- Sprinkle with chopped pecans or walnuts, if desired.
- Cover and cook on low for 2-3 hours, or until the cake is golden brown and cooked through. Cooking times may vary depending on your slow cooker.
- Let cool slightly before serving. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream, if desired.
