- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 3 tablespoons ground cinnamon
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Prepare the Dough: In a large bowl, combine warm milk and yeast. Let stand for 5 minutes until foamy. Add sugar, melted butter, salt, and egg to the yeast mixture. Mix well. Gradually add flour, 1 cup at a time, until a soft dough forms. Turn dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, turning to coat. Cover and let rise in a warm place for 1-1.5 hours, or until doubled in size.
- Make the Filling: In a medium bowl, combine softened butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon until well mixed.
- Assemble the Bread: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking pan. Punch down the risen dough and turn it out onto a lightly floured surface. Roll the dough into a 12×18 inch rectangle. Spread the cinnamon filling evenly over the dough. Starting from the long edge, roll the dough tightly into a log. Pinch the seam to seal. Cut the log into 12 equal slices. Arrange the slices in the prepared baking pan, cut-side up. Cover and let rise for another 30 minutes.
- Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Make the Glaze: While the bread is baking, whisk together melted butter, powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Glaze the Bread: Once the bread is out of the oven, let it cool slightly before drizzling the glaze over the top. Serve warm and enjoy!
