Ingredients

  • 1 pound cremini mushrooms, sliced
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add sliced mushrooms to the skillet and cook, stirring occasionally, until they release their liquid and start to brown, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Add minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.
  4. Pour in chicken broth and bring to a simmer. Cook until the broth has reduced by half, about 5 minutes.
  5. Stir in butter until melted and the sauce has thickened slightly. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Serve immediately as a side dish or over pasta, rice, or grilled chicken.
