Description
Warm, golden-brown bites coated in cinnamon sugar, perfect for a quick dessert or snack!
Ingredients
Scale
- 1/2 cup water (120ml)
- 1/4 cup (1/2 stick) unsalted butter (57g)
- 1/4 teaspoon salt (1.5g)
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour (60g)
- 2 large eggs
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar (50g)
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon (2g)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a medium saucepan, combine water, butter, and salt. Bring to a boil over medium heat.
- Remove from heat and add the flour all at once. Stir vigorously until a smooth dough forms and pulls away from the sides of the pan.
- Let the dough cool for a few minutes.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition until fully incorporated. The dough should be smooth and pipeable.
- Transfer the dough to a piping bag fitted with a large star tip.
- Pipe small bite-sized portions of dough onto the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown.
- While the churro bites are baking, prepare the cinnamon sugar coating by combining granulated sugar and ground cinnamon in a shallow dish.
- Once the churro bites are baked, immediately toss them in the cinnamon sugar coating until well coated.
- Serve warm and enjoy!
Notes
- Tip: Use room temperature eggs for a smoother dough.
