Easy to make cinnamon sugar blondies perfect for a quick dessert or snack.


Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour an 8×8 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until well combined.
  3. Beat in the egg and then stir in the vanilla and almond extracts.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Do not overmix.
  6. In a small bowl, combine the 2 tablespoons of granulated sugar and cinnamon for the topping.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
  8. Sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture evenly over the top of the batter.
  9. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs attached.
  10. Let the blondies cool completely in the pan before cutting into squares.
