  • 3 Tbsp Sugar – (Optional)
  • 1 Egg – Room temperature.
  • 1¼ Cups / 310ml Milk – Whole milk or preferred dairy/non-dairy.
  • 4 Tbsp / 60g Melted Butter + more for cooking – Butter can be replaced with oil or margarine.

Instructions

  1. Combine all the dry ingredients (flour, baking powder, salt, and optional sugar) into a mixing bowl and whisk well.
  2. Make a well in the center and pour in the wet ingredients (egg, milk, and melted butter). Whisk together until just combined. Do not overmix; a few lumps are fine.
  3. Heat a non-stick pan or griddle over medium heat and grease with butter or oil.
  4. Pour ¼ cup of pancake batter into the hot pan for each pancake. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through, watching for bubbles on the surface before flipping.
  5. Serve immediately with your favorite toppings.

  • Room Temperature Ingredients: Using room temperature egg and milk helps create a smoother batter.
