Delicious and guilt-free apple fritters cooked in your air fryer! A quick and easy recipe for a healthy treat.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Apples:

  • 2 medium apples, peeled, cored, and diced
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

For the Batter:

  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

For the Glaze:

  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Apples: In a medium bowl, combine the diced apples, lemon juice, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Mix well and set aside.
  2. Make the Batter: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. In another bowl, whisk together the milk, egg, and vanilla extract. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined. Do not overmix.
  3. Combine Apples and Batter: Gently fold the apple mixture into the batter until evenly distributed.
  4. Air Fry: Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C). Drop spoonfuls of the apple fritter batter into the air fryer basket, being careful not to overcrowd. Cook for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and cooked through.
  5. Make the Glaze: While the fritters are cooking, prepare the glaze. In a small bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  6. Glaze the Fritters: Once the fritters are cooked, let them cool slightly. Drizzle the glaze over the warm fritters. Serve immediately and enjoy!
