Ingredients

  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 medium apples, peeled, cored, and diced
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil

For the Glaze:

  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 12 tablespoons milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, egg, and vanilla extract.
  3. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until just combined. Do not overmix.
  4. Gently fold in the diced apples.
  5. Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  6. Lightly brush the air fryer basket with vegetable oil.
  7. Drop spoonfuls of the apple fritter batter into the air fryer basket, being careful not to overcrowd. Work in batches if necessary.
  8. Air fry for 8-10 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through, flipping halfway through.
  9. While the fritters are air frying, prepare the glaze. In a small bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth. Add more milk if needed to reach desired consistency.
  10. Once the fritters are done, let them cool slightly before drizzling with the glaze.
  11. Serve immediately and enjoy!
