Ingredients
2 chai tea bags
1 cup (240ml) water
1 cup (240ml) milk of choice
2 tbsp (30ml) honey or maple syrup
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp ground ginger
Instructions
Boil 1 cup of water in a small saucepan. Add the 2 chai tea bags and steep for 5 minutes.
Remove tea bags and stir in 2 tablespoons of honey or maple syrup, 1/2 teaspoon of ground cinnamon, and 1/4 teaspoon of ground ginger until well combined.
In a separate small pan or milk frother, heat and froth 1 cup of your milk of choice until light and airy.
Pour the spiced tea base into a mug and top with the warm, frothed milk.
Sprinkle with a little extra ground cinnamon for garnish and serve immediately.
Notes
For a stronger chai flavor, steep three tea bags instead of two.
Use a handheld frother to achieve the best cafe-style foam.
Adjust honey or maple syrup to your desired sweetness level.
Can be made dairy-free by using plant-based milk like oat or almond milk.
