Ingredients

  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into small pieces
  • 12 slider buns
  • 2 tbsp butter, melted
  • ½ cup honey
  • 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 12 tbsp hot sauce (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ¼ tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
  • ¼ cup all-purpose flour
  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Step 1: In a bowl, whisk together honey, apple cider vinegar, hot sauce, smoked paprika, garlic powder, and cayenne pepper. Set aside.
  • Step 2: Season flour with salt and pepper, then toss chicken pieces in it to coat.
  • Step 3: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high. Cook the chicken for 8–10 minutes, until browned and cooked through (165°F/74°C).
  • Step 4: Pour in the hot honey sauce, stir to coat, and simmer 2–3 minutes to thicken slightly.
  • Step 5: Brush tops of slider buns with melted butter. Assemble sliders with chicken on bottom buns, top with the buttered lids, and serve immediately.

  • Chicken Swap: Chicken thighs can be used instead of breasts.
