Irresistible Salted Caramel Apple Bars for a perfect fall treat!
Ingredients

Crust:
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 3–4 tablespoons ice water
Apple Filling:
- 4 medium apples, peeled and sliced
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
Salted Caramel:
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 6 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 teaspoon sea salt, or to taste
Instructions
- Crust: Whisk flour, sugar, salt. Cut in butter until crumbly. Add ice water until dough forms. Chill 30 mins.
- Apple Filling: Combine apples, sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, lemon juice.
- Salted Caramel: Melt sugar until amber. Remove from heat, whisk in butter, then cream, then salt. Cool slightly.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease and flour a 9×13 inch pan. Roll out dough, press into pan. Prick bottom.
- Pour apple filling over crust. Drizzle salted caramel over apples.
- Bake 35-40 mins, until golden. Cool completely before cutting.
Notes
- Apple Variety: Honeycrisp, Granny Smith, or Fuji apples work best.
- Storage: Store in airtight container for up to 2 days at room temperature or 5 days in fridge.
