London Fog Tea Latte (Earl Grey Tea Latte)

  • Author: Mery
  • Total Time: 5 minutes

Description

A comforting and aromatic London Fog Tea Latte made with fragrant Earl Grey tea, creamy frothed milk, and a touch of sweet vanilla syrup. Perfect for a cozy cafe experience at home.

Ingredients

Scale

1 cup (240ml) of water (for brewing tea)
1 Earl Grey tea bag (or 1 teaspoon / 2g of loose leaf tea)
½ cup (120ml) of milk (dairy or non-dairy)
1 tablespoon (15ml) of vanilla syrup (or to taste)

Instructions

Heat the water to just below boiling, around 200°F (93°C).
Place the Earl Grey tea bag (or loose leaf tea in a tea infuser) in a mug.
Pour the hot water over the tea bag and let it steep for 3-5 minutes, depending on your desired strength.
While the tea is steeping, heat the milk using a milk frother, on the stovetop, or in the microwave. If using the microwave, heat for 30-60 seconds, or until warm. You can also use a handheld milk frother to froth the milk after heating.
Add the vanilla syrup to the steeped tea, stirring well.
Pour the warm, frothed milk over the tea, holding back the foam with a spoon.
Spoon the frothed milk foam over the latte.
Serve immediately and enjoy your homemade London Fog Tea Latte!

Notes

For the best foam, start with cold milk, especially if using a frother.
Adjust vanilla syrup to your preferred sweetness level.
To make it iced, brew tea stronger, let it cool, then pour over ice with cold milk and syrup.
