  • Vegetable Broth: 8 cups / 1.9 liters
  • Crushed Tomatoes: 1 (28 ounce) can / 794g
  • Tomato Sauce: 1 (15 ounce) can / 425g
  • Cooked Crab Meat: 1 pound / 450g, shell removed
  • Cut Green Beans: 1 cup / 100g
  • Corn Kernels: 1 cup / 150g (fresh or frozen)
  • Chopped Fresh Parsley: 1/2 cup / 15g
  • Seafood Seasoning: 1 teaspoon / 5g (like Old Bay)
  • Black Pepper: 1/2 teaspoon / 2.5g
  • Red Pepper Flakes: 1/4 teaspoon / 1.25g (optional)
  • Lemon Juice: 1 tablespoon / 15ml

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large pot or Dutch oven over medium heat.
  2. Add chopped onion, celery, and carrots. Cook until softened, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Add minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.
  4. Pour in vegetable broth, crushed tomatoes, and tomato sauce. Stir well to combine.
  5. Bring the mixture to a simmer.
  6. Add crab meat, green beans, and corn kernels to the pot. Stir gently.
  7. Season with seafood seasoning, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using).
  8. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld. For a richer flavor, simmer for up to 1 hour.
  9. Stir in chopped fresh parsley and lemon juice just before serving.
