- 6 ripe bananas, sliced
- 1/2 cup (100g) granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup (57g) butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 cup (120g) all-purpose flour
- 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup (240ml) milk
- 1/2 cup (114g) butter, melted
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, gently combine the sliced bananas, granulated sugar, melted butter, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon juice. Mix until well coated.
- Pour the banana mixture into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- Add the milk and melted butter to the dry ingredients. Stir until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Pour the cobbler topping evenly over the banana filling in the baking dish.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30-40 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the banana filling is bubbly.
- Let the cobbler cool slightly before serving. Serve warm, and enjoy!
