  • 6 ripe bananas, sliced
  • 1/2 cup (100g) granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup (57g) butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 cup (120g) all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup (240ml) milk
  • 1/2 cup (114g) butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, gently combine the sliced bananas, granulated sugar, melted butter, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon juice. Mix until well coated.
  3. Pour the banana mixture into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Add the milk and melted butter to the dry ingredients. Stir until just combined. Do not overmix.
  6. Pour the cobbler topping evenly over the banana filling in the baking dish.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-40 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the banana filling is bubbly.
  8. Let the cobbler cool slightly before serving. Serve warm, and enjoy!
