- 1/4 cup (60ml) milk
- 1 large egg
- 1 tablespoon (14g) melted butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 medium apple, peeled, cored, and diced (about 1 cup)
For the Glaze:
- 1 cup (120g) powdered sugar
- 2–3 tablespoons milk
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a baking sheet.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
- Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
- Gently fold in the diced apple.
- Drop spoonfuls of the batter onto the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown.
- While the fritters are baking, prepare the glaze. In a small bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth. Add more milk, 1 teaspoon at a time, until you reach your desired consistency.
