- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 medium apples, peeled, cored, and diced
For the Glaze:
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2–3 tablespoons milk
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a baking sheet.
- Whisk together flour, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, and sugar.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together egg, milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
- Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Gently fold in the diced apples.
- Drop spoonfuls of batter onto the baking sheet.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
- While baking, whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract for the glaze.
- Cool fritters slightly, then transfer to a wire rack.
- Drizzle glaze over warm fritters. Let set before serving.

- Dairy-Free: Use almond milk and coconut oil for a dairy-free option.
