Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour an 8×8 inch baking pan.
  2. Make the Brownie Layer: In a large bowl, combine the melted butter, granulated sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Mix well.
  3. Stir in the vanilla extract and egg until well combined.
  4. Add the flour and red food coloring. Mix until just combined. Do not overmix.
  5. Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
  6. Make the Cheesecake Layer: In a separate bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and granulated sugar until smooth and creamy.
  7. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
