Preparation
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt in a medium bowl.
- Cream together softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar in a large bowl until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Mix in the flour mixture gradually until just incorporated.
- Fold in the chocolate chips and chopped pecans.
- Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto prepared baking sheets, spacing them 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden brown and centers are set.
- Cool on baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring to wire racks.
