Preparation
- Rinse sushi rice until the water runs clear.
- Combine rice and water in a pot, bring to a boil, cover, reduce heat, and simmer for 18 minutes.
- Remove from heat and let stand covered for 10 minutes.
- Mix rice vinegar, sugar, and salt in a small bowl, then fold into the cooked rice and let cool.
- Divide the rice among serving bowls and top with shredded imitation crab, avocado slices, cucumber, and edamame.
- Drizzle with soy sauce and sesame oil, garnish with nori strips and sesame seeds, and serve immediately.
