  • 1 lb lean ground turkey 454g
  • 1 tbsp olive oil 15ml
  • 1 tsp garlic powder 5g
  • 1 tsp onion powder 5g
  • 1/2 tsp salt 2.5g
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper 1.25g
  • 1 head butter lettuce approx. 200g, washed and separated into cups
  • 1 medium tomato 120g, diced
  • 1/2 cup red onion 75g, finely diced
  • 2 tbsp light mayonnaise 30ml

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground turkey, breaking it up with a spoon.
  2. Season with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Cook for 8-10 minutes until browned and fully cooked through.
  3. Spoon the cooked turkey into the lettuce cups.
  4. Top with diced tomatoes, red onion, and a drizzle of mayonnaise. Serve immediately.

Notes

Store the cooked turkey separately and assemble the lettuce wraps just before serving to keep the lettuce crisp.
