Preparation
- Preheat oven to 375F (190C) and grease a baking dish.
- Boil the elbow macaroni in a large pot until al dente, then drain.
- In a saucepan, melt the butter and whisk in the flour for 2 minutes.
- Gradually whisk in the milk until the mixture thickens, then stir in the cheddar cheese until smooth.
- Combine the cheese sauce with the cooked pasta and pour into the prepared baking dish.
- Bake for 25 minutes until the top is golden and bubbly.
